did sets of 10 with 80s and 75s. It's been a while since I've done them.
All in all, I think I'm maintaining strength which is good. I think that'll be my main goal as I try to get leaner. Also, fantasy draft, it was all right, but I really should have picked a running back sooner than the third round. Definitely don't want to make that mistake in tomorrow's draft. Although I think my team's decent, especially if Michael Turner is as good as I think he is and Andre Johnson doesn't get hurt.

Today was a light day, I played tennis for an hour with my sister. Although I was still off with my shots, I definitely did better than a couple weeks ago when I picked up the racket. Also, my serve has a lot more pop. Other than that, it was just a lazy summer day. I guess I should get ready for the fantasy drafts coming up, looking forward to tomorrow night.

Damn, Bally's Fitness was like 154 bucks for 3 months. I guess I'll have to take my muscles elsewhere. I did some sprint work today, at the free institution that is the park. It's amazing how fast I got tired, I think I need to really make an effort to have cardio at least once a week, maybe even twice. Also tried a strawberry protein shake, and it was really tasty. I splurged and got the one with protein isolates, so it was delicious.

First day back, tomorrow I'm going to go sign up for the gym. I weighed myself again and now I'm 173, so I guess the diet is working, which is basically what I was eating, just less of it. I have a feeling this next month isn't going to be so exciting, but got some fantasy football drafts coming up, so gotta get on that. I guess I'll do deadlifts tomorrow, probably do sets of 10 at 225.

Thanks to the debauchery Friday night, I'm back on a nocturnal schedule. But no biggie, got the Fleming gym to do my curls and shoulder presses. It's been a long time, and I'm happy that I've improved. My struggles in benching didn't mean I wasn't getting stronger.

Done with SURF!!! Such a good feeling, now all I'm going to do is comment. I swear, not even touching the existing code. Did some liftin' too, squats felt pretty good.

Did boxing yesterday, it was a great workout. 6 sets of 30 seconds of all-out punching left a lot of my body sore. I tried to bring more intensity than last time, and I really felt it. I think there might be a punching bag at my local gym, so it's going to be a mainstay I think.

I did upper-body yesterday, think I felt good with the pull-ups because I was able to maintain my # of reps through all the sets. I did incline yesterday, so it's hard to say if I had a good day or not.

I actually played tennis today. Yeah, it's only been like 6 months since that happened. As you can imagine, I played pretty poorly, especially at the start. But towards, the end of the hour I was at least having rallies, and my backhand was still solid. It didn't help that I could hardly bend from the deadlift workout yesterday, but given all that, I thought I did all right. Like, at least my conditioning was not terrible, I was able to chase down balls, and even though I was sweating like crazy, my opponent was too, so I didn't feel totally out of shape. I think it's good to do stuff like this from time to time, keep my body guessing.

Work went well today, I think I'm basically done with SURF! It wasn't as great as I thought it would be, but I definitely can take a lot from the experience.
Now, more importantly, I did deadlifts today. I continued to improve so I'm happy about that, I didn't go for 1 rep maxes though.

The boxing gloves arrived today, and we made good use of them. We did 6 sets of 30 seconds of all-out punching. It was harder than it sounds, so a good workout. I think the cardio I've been doing is paying off though, because I could have kept going at that pace for a while I think, since we took a couple minutes break after each set.

Squats:
Great workout today for the legs, I felt really explosive. 265 and it was totally legit too, ass to grass. I'm even more happy about the 245x3, which felt pretty easy, but I really wanted 275 so I stopped there. 275, I'm not sure, I don't think I had complete control on the way down, so I messed it up. I think I can get there next time.

I felt like going out for a run, but my legs/back were too shot from deadlifts yesterday. Ended up running a mile. Wasn't breathing heavy at all, so I guess my cardio fitness must be improving.
